Petit à Petit

If you are a bird lover, you know they move at their own pace. They build their nests with intention. They look around, soar around, pause on the branches of a tree, sing in the sunshine, shelter from the rain. Many wisely avoid the snow and fly to a place where they can continue to sing in the sunshine, no matter the time of year.

Since launching almost two years ago, Paris Morning Publications has been building a nest of a different kind. We were so pleased that our very first title, Hitman-Baker-Casketmaker: Aftermath of an American's Clash with ICE by master bread baker and poet Klecko was the winner of a 2020 Midwest Book Award. Klecko, and the book, received nationwide attention. It was such an exciting time.

And now, Paris Morning Publications is preparing to send another project soaring, but we need your help. Beginning on November 5, we will be accepting submissions for an anthology that felt just right to us now. A curated collection of poems about birds. We are hopeful for contributors to send us as many varieties of poems as there are birds. Well, that's probably aiming a little high.

All the details can be found here on the website. If you have any questions, please get in touch at editor@parismorningpublications.com

We are so eager to receive your poems, and to create a new book that will be as beautiful and uplifting as a bird's song.
